They called me Sammy the Bull. Yeah, that Sammy. I ran with the streets, led one of the most powerful crime families in America… but none of that gave me true peace 🕊️.
I always believed in God but this time, it was different. This time, I surrendered ✝️.
From the shadows of organized crime to stepping into the waters of baptism, my journey is one of redemption, hope, and God’s relentless love. In this powerful testimony, I open up about the pain, the struggle, the doubts, and the moment everything changed.
If you’re searching for hope… if you feel too far gone… I promise you—you’re not. 🙌 God’s grace is BIGGER than your past. I’m living proof. 💯

Yes. He is. I also watched sometimes. He is honest and God can work with honest sinners... amen

He doesn’t sing, but the playing and humming are quite haunting- amazing that they chose his song to represent art from earth.
Thanks again v—your thoughts are a pleasure to read.
Happy Easter.

Patrick Coffin did some research, and has a nice sense of humor about this.

Easter is the most important celebration in the Christian calendar—but let’s be honest: when did chocolate rabbits and plastic eggs take center stage?
In this video, I explore how we went from the empty tomb of Jesus Christ to marshmallow Peeps and fuzzy bunnies. I’ll walk you through the historical and cultural origins of these traditions, what they actually mean, and how we, as Catholics, can enjoy them without losing sight of what Easter is really about—Christ crucified and risen.
I’ll also share what the early Church believed, what Scripture says, and why Easter eggs (yes, even those) can point to the Resurrection when properly understood.
💡 In this episode, you’ll learn: • Why the Resurrection is central to the Catholic faith
• The truth about bunnies and eggs in Christian history
• How to celebrate Easter with joy and reverence
“To [Jesus] all the prophets bear witness,
that everyone who believes in him
will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.”
Acts 10:43
“Everyone who believes in him” means “everyone,” not just people whose sins I think aren’t actually all that bad.
I wish for Mr. Salvatore Gravano what I wish for all: to know Christ and be found in Him.
Happy Easter, Laz!
Where is purgatory mentioned in the bible?
The apostle Paul was a murdering scumbag. So was King David.
You don’t understand the gospel nor your condition.
His parents were literally “off the boat” from Sicily.
If he’s like any other Sicilian family I know in the NE, he had grandmother or aunt who was praying daily for his conversion and salvation.
I don’t think God says repent and all is forgiven. That’s the Catholic church that says that.
You still have to answer to God for your sins.
You don’t get to lead a life of sin then repent on the last day for entrance into heaven. If that were the case then there is no need in being good, just do what you want and repent at the end.
“Where is purgatory mentioned in the bible?”
Same place breaking off from the Catholic Church and attacking it for the ensuing millennia is.
It’s Easter. Try giving it a rest for a day
We’re talking about a Catholic guy who went to confession. You want to know about Catholicism, go talk to a Catholic theologian. Read Scott Hahn who converted from Protestant to the Catholic faith while researching its perceived ridiculousness
Romans 10:13 NIV
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
“EVERYONE”
It doesn’t say everyone “except” mob bosses.
I know many people struggle with this. My wife does, but its up to God, not us.
To gain forgiveness and then salvation, you have to truly believe. You can’t trick God. Just saying a few magic words doesn’t cut it. Did you think you could fool an all knowing God?
God shall not be mocked.
He lived his whole life in sin, while I strived to live a sinless life, but now near/at the end of his life he gets to be forgiven and share the same heaven as me?
YES!
Matthew 20:16 NIV
“So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
There is no such thing as purgatory.
And he'll join the 19 others he helped send there.
He's proof that even God can have poor judgement.
Why are you commenting on a thread that is on Catholic theology and sacraments?
>>>>I’ll also share what the early Church believed, what Scripture says, and why Easter eggs (yes, even those) can point to the Resurrection when properly understood.>>>.
Thank you brother and blessings.
With regard to eggs and rabbits, I thought they were of pagan origin, like the fertility gods or something. I may be wrong, but I seem to recall something like that.
Anyways, as Paul says with no resurrection, there’s no gospel. Blessings!!
Mike has been actively evangelizing Sammy. They have been on several podcasts together and Mike witnesses to him every time. At first Sammy blew him off condescendingly but over time we saw Sammy warming up to it more and more. So this doesn’t surprise. Mike has played a big part in Sammy’s conversion.
You said it so beautifully and gracefully. Amen sister.
The gospel means good news. If I had to pay for my own sins that would be the worse news I could ever hear and why the cross then?
Blessings and thank you.
Amen, Prayers are effectual even if they take decades. We never give up. The look on Sammy’s face at his baptism is just so compelling. He knows he’s about to change his life and I believe the Bible. he comes up a new creature....in Christ. Thank u
>>>You still have to answer to God for your sins.>>>
Jesus answered for my sins. That’s why the atonement on the cross. Aren’t you glad you don’t have to answer for your sins? I suggest you read Romans 3, especially verses 20 and on. Many Bible scholars call those texts the greatest texts in scripture on the theology of how we get to heaven.
His righteousness that comes by faith. And nobody can improve on his righteousness. And it’s free. Romans 3:22. He took my sins. At the cross at the cross!
Obviously not. God makes the call, not you, or me. 😀
