An activist group supporting Karmelo Anthony, who is accused of murdering fellow teenager Austin Metcalf at a Texas track meet, posted a bizarre POV-style video on social media showing their security team escorting the alleged killer from jail after he made bond.
In the clip posted by the Next Generation Action Network (NGAN), a member of the organization’s security team shakes the teen’s hand and tells him to “get behind us” and “just stay close” as they walk past the media while leaving the Collin County Jail.
One female reporter shoves a microphone in Anthony’s face and asks if he has anything he’d like to say to the Metcalf family and why he was armed that day, calling him “sweatheart.”
Anthony, 17, stays mum as they continue to the vehicle, where the security team ushers him into the backseat, the video shot from the NGAN security director’s smart glasses shows.

Because it’s mostly white the trial will be moved to Dallas. A mostly black jury will aquit him like they did o.j. he warned Austin not to touch him.
I wonder if the family or advisors who set up the fund were consciously thinking about what to call it and what it would be used for?

Of course, forgotten in all of this is the victim and his utterly destroyed family (yes, I know the father has "forgiven" his son's murderer):
They learned from the OJ case. When he lost the Civil Trial, OJ moved to Florida so his house would’t be seized by Fred Goldman, which apparently is protected under Florida law. OJ spent the rest of his life hiding his assets from Mr. Goldman - who said he’d haunt OJ to his grave.
“Fred Goldman was awarded $9 million for the wrongful death of his son Ron Goldman. However, the total judgment against O.J. Simpson included an additional $25 million to be split between the Goldman and Brown Simpson families, bringing the total award to $33.5 million.”
I wonder if the father of the victim would accept no jail time for the perp

As best I recall, O.J. used to very subtly mock or taunt Fred Goldman when reports would speak to him (O.J.), by telling to Mr. Goldman to relax, and not have a stroke over things that he had no control over. I believe he even answered a reporter’s rhetorical question once by stating that he’d “take a stab at it”, meaning attempt to answer the question literally. I don’t recall the question or context offhand.
Fred Goldman did seem very very angry a lot of the time. You can claim it was justified, but that sort of anger doesn’t likely turn on and off and I suspect the Goldman’s are haunted by their loss and their anger consumes them.
In the absence of THE DEATH PENALTY, LOCK HIM UP FOR LIFE !!!

And, he was not only angry, he was furious, irate and often could hardly control himself when he spoke of the trial - and this was years and years later. His anger was justified.
He said one of the things that infuriated him the most was when the media said or wrote: "Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend" - not using Ron Goldman's name, his son ignored completely in the entire bloody mess. He wanted to keep his son's name alive.
I believe he lives in Arizona now.

Yes. My thought would be that the perp family will convert crowdfunding money and put that into real estate to protect it against civil judgment.
Renting now, but then buy something that they can lock in crowdfunding blood money and protect it from the victim’s family.
Thank you for posting this. I wasn’t aware of his efforts directed at keeping Ron’s name in awareness. I can only imagine his pain.
The murderer got $400k from this? It’s a liberal money.
