As long as no insects, manure or democrats are involved, I could probably learn to like it, provided that I had a reliable supply of the right spices and could still get ice cream.

As a serious matter, I’d be willing to sample this stuff if it reaches the market. If I liked it, I’d continue to eat it. I don’t object in principle to synthetic foods. I do object in principle to eco cultists trying to impose this by mandates.

How soon do you think we might see a mass market rollout? Are any of these products already out there in specialty stores?

Agreed I am a scientist, trying to do my best to leave a better planet not tell people how to live. I would try precision fermentation products like milk or egg proteins made in bioreactors even cultured proteins including animal cell lines as long as they are not immortal cell line based.

I am a world traveler and have lived and worked in Africa, Asia and Latin America so insect protein is not a big deal I have sampled a slew of it in various cultures. Protein is protein not a big deal at all to me.

Our species needs to get off this rock and synthetic biology is the only way we do that.

There are a number of Israeli companies doing cultured meat without any immortal cell lines they use egg cells and extract the universal template cells from them one female cow has thousands of eggs every one of them is a universal template. Teach it to make protein or lipids and then combine into finished product.
