I always heard it referred to as Camp McCoy, and I thought all of the exit signs on I-94 called it Camp McCoy. Of course, it’s been a while since I have driven that way.
I only posted that as I had no idea where it was .
Fort or Camp , not sure what the difference
I know the Marines use Camp as well, Camp Butler in Okinawa , Camp Pendleton in California and Camp Leguene in North Carolina
The closest Army facilities around here are both Forts , although the trend is to assign some horrendous amalgamation gobbledygook Joint Base / XXX rather than Fort Eustis or Fort Story .
