Avoiding the Atlanta Airport should be considered as a favor.

This is ridiculous.

Did any of the millions and millions of illegals that Biden encouraged to cross the border have to go through customs?

Yes, you can refuel with passengers onboard.

A couple of weeks ago on the next to last leg of the trip from Colorado Springs, the Atlanta layover was projected to be about two hours but storms changed it to four and then later cancelled flight to Columbia.

My wife got us standby and it’s time changed once or twice.

We were able to get on and get home.

2 AM mountain time to 9 PM Eastern made for a long day.

There were no cars to rent.

When I was picking up the luggage that miraculously arrived, there was this woman picking hers up too. She got a rental and drove it to Columbia and was there ten minutes before I was.

I hate to think how much that car cost.

We had pre=paid for a 10-day vacation trip overseas on Delta, which is famous for routing all flights through Atlanta. The connecting flight was stuck on the runway long enough that after running through the maze at Atlanta Airport, we missed the overseas leg by 20 minutes. They wouldn’t allow us to board the once-a-day flight and said we would have to catch the nest one in 24 hours. While our luggage made the flight, we had to rely on their “goody bag” of toiletries, changing gowns, a food voucher, and a hotel room, we missed two days of our pre-paid vacation and received no reimbursement from Delta or the tour guide company. Delta SUX!

We were enroute to Hong Kong and got diverted to Tokyo because of volcanic ash and needed more fuel. It took so long at Narita that the plane got delayed for 18 hours due to crew rest. They let us in the terminal and gave some passengers hotels, but then ran out of vouchers and started giving blankets to sleep in the airport. I pitched a hissy fit and got them to give us seats on a plane to Bangkok, they really didn’t want to do that. Got out bags 2 days later.

Commercial airliners are often refueled with passengers onboard here in the US.

This is odd because US Customs has pre-flight inspection in Cabo San Lucas. I’m sure Mexico DF has them also.

forcing the nearly 300 passengers to remain on board the planes on the tarmac all night.

Over night?

No alcohol, no smoking, 300 walk on, only 1 walks off........

This is all total BS. Let them out into the station. Put coppers at each exit. If storms re-directed them sitting in a fuel-filled plane with tornadoes in the area is a death trap.

Geesh.

Customs at Cabo is only for immigration purposes only. You still have to go through customs at first port-of-entry in the U.S.

Thanks, I certainly stand corrected on that.

“forcing the nearly 300 passengers to remain on board the planes on the tarmac all night.”

To steal a Trump line, never woulda happened if I was on that plane!

They have little charts that tell you exactly how to open the doors.

I would have shouted “Let’s ROLL!”

“The pilot came on the intercom asking passengers to stop calling 911 saying they are being kidnapped.”

I AGREE with the captain, they were NOT being “kidnapped”. They WERE being held “HOSTAGE”

There probably was no need to keep the planes at Montgomery for so long.

There might have been a need to do some research or even inter-agency cooperation in preparation for someone on the flights.
