And I think you and your cohort are jackasses who are ignorant of the significance of the American flag. You both think fashion choices and what you adorn your stupid bodies with in peace time are so much more controlling than respect for valor under fire. You think it’s fine to walk on the flag and step on it, both of which you are doing when the flag is turned into a shoe by some hippie business owners for idiots like the two of you to purchase with your trust fund funny money and then to wear at your gated community barbecues. So now the flag is “paraphernalia”? There’s a place for you and your cohort. You won’t need charcoal briquets to have a barbecue there. Trust me on that one.
One thing the American flag represents is freedom of speech.
In manners such as these, considering intent is important.
The radicals who burn the American flag are protected by the 1A. Yet they have evil intent. As you noted 4Runner, their actions are disrespectful to those who died for that flag.
But what about the flag on shoes (and clothing). Some are doing that just to make a fashion statement. That’s not evil, just in poor taste. But I’m guessing most of them are patriots in their own way. Good intentions there.
It seems YOU are ignorant of the difference between an actual flag and a decorative facimile. None of those garments are a complete flag. I am pleased with patriotic clothing.
