While there are exceptions, I mostly watch older films -- 1960s to 1990s -- because I can't stand the characters depicted in the newer films. Especially the women.
They are so mouthy, arrogant, pushy and aggressive. And they're the protagonists, the characters I'm supposed to be rooting for. I'm supposed to admire their Strong, Independent Girl Power attitude.
Actresses in older films were so much more beautiful and well mannered. And no arms coated in tattoos.
I have a wonderful son with an engineering degree, a job, a great sense of humor, and handsome, athletic, kind, loves dogs, wants children. I am praying for the right engineer girl to come along. Not some vacant dipsheet of a girl.
