I once had a neighbor who was very fat. He waddled when he walked. His brother lived a couple of doors down and was some what fat but he worked outdoors repairing rails.
I saw the fat brother always bringing home or getting delivered fast food. He did have exercise equipment but if you are eating fast food you will not lose weight.
If I cut out the chips and bread and ice cream I would lose any weight around the middle.
Probably the chips and bread more so.
I always considered ice cream as an acceptable treat because it tends to have fewer carbs and less sugar than other stuff, and has the benefit of having some protien and fat.
Nutritionally, it seems to be the best for treats the occasional indulgence.
