People are telling me Texas is not going to put up with this BS and they will find him guilty no matter how good of lawyers he gets. Is this true?
All it takes is scrounging up 12 idiots for the jury and suddenly this particular murder becomes legal.
If he pleads to a lesser charge, there won't be a trial, just a sentencing. If there's a jury trial, it will depend on who the Judge and jurors are. I'm not sure about Texas, but aren't Judges capable of dismissing charges and reducing others? Anthony already admitted that he stabbed Metcalfe claiming self-defense, but so far, I haven't heard that Anthony said he stabbed Metcalfe to death because he feared for his life. He ran away after he stabbed Metcalfe, at which time his life was probably more in danger from the team members in the tent who witnessed the stabbing, than prior to him stabbing Metcalfe. Too bad the team members didn't chase him down and kick his brains in.
well he is guilty as hell, so yes, he will be convicted of SOMETHING, just maybe not 1st degree murder.
