You are very right. I’m not an attorney, and I don’t know squat other than when my SA tells me that I’m in danger, I flee the area as fast as I can. I don’t carry weapons on my person.
I’m not buying the story that this teen felt his life was in danger, to explain his pulling out the knife. He used the knife because he intended to kill the other teen. Sometimes people go on the hunt for their prey. I think this was one of those situations. He was looking for trouble, and he created it. IMHO.
