I only like 2 of their songs... In the End and Somewhere I belong. but when I heard that Emily for the first time tonight I thought her octave range was perfect...

I don’t like a lot of Rollins’ work, but Liar is a masterpiece.

The new Linkin Park is a completely different band, a completely different sound. I like to call them Linkin Park V2.0.
I prefer the Bennington era, greatly.

Boston was brilliant; it was staple of my youth.

Mungo Jerry. Pretty awesome. The lyrics are a little dated, though: "Have a drink, have a drive, go out and see what you can find."
Updated for modern times, it might be "Have a drink, have a drive, go out and catch a DUI." ššš
As far as fun music goes, this one is on my playlist. All Star

Iāve always argued with a music podcaster friend that Boston deserves the Rock Hall way more than many who have gotten thereā¦..and Third Stage is in the regular rotation when Iām coding.

Always been a favorite of mine as well. dont understand why they are not in the RRHoF. totally surprised to hear they are not!!
Have you ever been to a live Boston Concert? I never have but always wondered how they sounded live. Its no secret they have a little studio enhancement in their music.

I never got to see Boston. But my brother did prior to Brad Delpāa death. They were late on in their careers, probably a year or three before he died, but I remember him telling me they sounded āexcellentā and āplayed everythingā. Wish Iād had a chance to see them.

My āpodcaster friendā argues that itās a ābody of workā thing. Only a few albums with only a couple of them being hits. That they struggled to follow up a debut masterpiece. My arguments were that:
A. Most bands would have one or two hits per album where Boston was ācover to coverā. So how would you rate an album where every song is awesome against a band with ten or twelve albums where one song on each is awesome?
B. You donāt just hear ONE Boston song today. They have many that have stood the test of time and could be considered āimmortalā.
C. Their debut was NOT their only great album. They had several. Namely āThird Stageā. I told him to listen start to finish and tell me that wasnāt a fantastic album. And āradio hitsā shouldnāt be a determining factor in great songs.
Iād put Delp only slightly below Steve Perry as what I consider to be the greatest lead voices ever.
