Sorry, but you are Wrong and stupid to boot.

That is not how the millions of people who paid into that system for years believe or feel about this issue and who depend on these social systems to survive in their retirement.

You know, the voters, the ones that put President Trump into office and the current slim majorities in both houses of congress.

The same voters that if you stupidly got President Trump to mess around with these social services would turn around and vote against President Trump in the mid-terms and remove both GOP majorities and doom the GOP to the minority for decades.

It would also stop President Trump’s agenda in its tracks and destroy this country.

Just plain Stupid!

But you could go about self-righteously pounding yourself on the cheat about how right you are, there would be that!

What millions of people feel or believe about Social Security is irrelevant as a matter of law. The great majority of politicians have lied about Social Security since 1935.

A majority of Americans believe the lies, which makes them dupes or fools. But they do believe the lies, which is why we are going to ride the bankruptcy express off the cliff.

Meanwhile, Congress has changed Social Security benefits and tax schemes many times. Since any cuts are politically radioactive, they try to camouflage them.

The last president to face up honestly to the problem, to his great credit, was Bush 43. He proposed shifting SS to a fully funded basis, basically like a thrift savings plan, in which we would have individually owned and fully inheritable, personal accounts. Al Gore howled to the moon about the “risky scheme” of privatization, taking the position that kiting bad checks to future generations is better. Bush told the truth and managed to get elected anyhow.

Trump, unfortunately, has gone into reckless pander mode and promises massive tax cuts and unfunded benefit increases in a system that is already actuarially bankrupt.

The default option under current law will be a 30 percent across the board cut in benefits in about ten years.

The democrats’ solution will be big tax increases on upper income taxpayers and all employers, plus severe means testing that will basically strip benefits from above median income retirees. Because Social Justice.

Trump’s various proposals will simply accelerate the slide into bankruptcy. But Trump knows he will be out of the White House by then, so he thinks it is someone else’s problem.

All Musk, Trump, amd JD have to do is:

Get rid of all corporate welfare (John Stossel reported on how huge it was years and years ago, so it’s well over 400 billion a year now).

End the $200 billion a year or so going to “migrants” brought into the US.

Lower military spending by 200-300 billion a year by making Europe defend themselves and not have the US do this so they can shift the money saved to their social welfare programs.

Make Japan, Singapore, Australia, NZ, Taiwan, and other Asian Pacific allies shift more of their spending to military to help the US, saving the US at least amother 100 billion plus.

1 trillion saved right there.

A trillion can be saved by cutting all federal agencies by 50-75%.

Plenty left to fund Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, military.

The only thing that might have to be done is not to raise taxes on corporations (as they will pass the costs along to consumers), but rather raise taxes significantly on multi, multi, multi millionaires and billionaires who have said in interviews they pay less in fed income taxes than their secretaries do.

Watch Democrats (who get their pockets lined by these same people) squawk about this and then the truth will be revealed about them before all of America as they have said Repubs are in the pockets of billionaires, there were more billionaires who supported Kamala than supported Trump, and in 2020, Wall Street gave more campaign cash to Biden than to Trump.
