I bet we get 20 buckets of ash over the winter from the wood stove, I dump it on the raised beds and holy cow the way some things grow. Mostly sand here in SW MI and might as well be the Sahara but have great drainage...bought a metal garbage can a couple years ago and use that exclusively on the raised beds, no O-T-C stuff here!
I kid you not. Dig your garden down a few feet and alternate between the ash and dirt. You’re garden will grow even more.
