It was Jack Johnson he was talking too after Wyatt killed Curley Bill at the river.
Doc was coughing a little blood and Jack asked, “why are you doing this Doc?”.
Don’t replies “Wyatt Earp is my friend “
Jack said,”hell, I’ve got lots of friends”.
Doc, “I don’t”.
Really humanizes him.

Val’s intake and snake hiss, per the stories, was not in the script nor rehearsed. It was a Julliard trained actor, who just did it.
Or so I’ve heard. I might be wrong.

It’s not the fact of the divorce I was referring to. It was the manner in which Val found out about it on CNN. There is no excuse for that.
