I don’t think I ever saw Denzel Washington play a black man. He just played a character.
I seem to recall seeing an ad for a movie he was in. He played a poor black father (trash collector?) who felt he’d done his duty as bread winner. I guess his son wanted more love. I don’t know where the scriptwriters went with that. Anyway, that could have been sufficiently reality-based and non-preachy to be acceptable.
I was taught to respect anyone who had “a good honest job.” That would include trash collectors and exclude Hunter Biden.
