Musk/SpaceX offered a free rocket ship/launch to repair and update the Hubble Space Telescope. The Hussein/Biden Regime turned it down (creeps). Hubble HAD 6 gyroscopes. It needs 3 to keep oriented and on target. The extra three were backups. Hubble is down to two gyros. Besides updating the gyros, it would be amazing to update as much as possible. Hubble’s systems were designed for relatively easy upgrades. There are large, rectangular “boxes” with components inside. On one of the Shuttle update missions, they were able to open the large side doors, slide out the older box/components, and then slide in the new. Between Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy, we could get all of the new “stuff” up their, and keep Hubble flying for more decades.

The gyros for positioning Skylab each weighed 3,500 pounds and spun at 6,600 RPM. Hubble’s are probably a bit smaller.
