No surprise about the deafness. Maybe the bright lights onstage also damaged his vision. What an astounding performer, though. And no slouch in the looks department. Wish him wellness and peace.

Get checked for a hearing aid. There is a correlation between deafness and Alzheimer’s.

Daltrey contracted viral meningitis a few years ago and thought he was going to die. That’s a disease that can do nerve damage and harm hearing and vision.
Once we recover from an infection we tend to think that we go back to how we were prior to getting infected, when in fact it may leave a calling card behind. Old age may in part be the collective slings and arrows from all of the illnesses we deal with over the years.
