"The first one has to be a rock solid conviction with overwhelming evidence ..."

I respectfully disagree. The J6ers were arrested and detained for YEARS before even seeing a courtroom.

Also, Trump could leverage Joe Biden's own recorded confession of having bribed Ukraine to have several put into the DC gulag - especially Joe and Hunter.

I keep hearing the voice of Clint Eastwood's character in "Outlaw Josey Wales" ... "You gotta get mean!"

Maybe that’s the issue. Although the J6 roundup was a violation of due process, they were rounding people up who they could prove through CCTV and phone footage definitely were at the Capitol. A bit of innuendo, a bit of flimsy Probable Cause. It’s dodgy as hell, but it flipped the script from “innocent till proven guilty” to “prove you’re innocent.”

Look at the backlash wherever ICE have jumped on people without any reason to think that they’re in the USA illegally. For example, Ma Yang, a 37-year-old who’s been living in the U.S. since she was a baby and was a legal resident with a green card, has been deported to Laos, a country she has never even visited. She doesn’t know anyone there, and can’t speak the language. If there was a reason for her deportation, what was it?

If the police started rounding up judges or politicians up before there’s any evidence of wrongdoing, purely on suspicion that they must’ve been dirty because they’re anti Trump, the left will simply say, not only is this rank hypocrisy, it’s turning into a Soviet level political witch-hunt.

Also, remember Gotti and Capone. They knew how to play the system. Don’t you think the Rats are even more likely to win on technicalities? What you need is a simple charge that sticks, that is provable. You get that, and the house of cards falls.
