48K a year is not the equivalent of a $5 million house. To finance 5 mil would be about 37k per month

Yeah, you’re correcrt. Still, at $4,000/mnth, it’s still about a $640,000 home or so @6%.
Lots of options in Midtown Manhattan in that price range.
Looks like some very good deals going on right now.
