I cannot think of any way a rocket launch would cause that. All these years launching rockets, suddenly, they look different. Which fuel/oxidizer combination would cause that, and why the double spiral? Burns in space diffuse rather quickly.

Somebody needs to offer a "how" explanation.

They are claiming it is unburnt fuel that was dumped. Maybe, but again how come we have never seen that from hundreds of other Falcon 9 launches. Whatever ... its pretty.
