Mix of actors is fine by me. Ads with ordinary people working like black delivery man or someone using an appliance is OK. What I don’t like is racist/sexist memes. The stupid white guy in the insurance ad. The husband doing housework while the wife smirks. That stuff turns me off.

I think it is Allstate which has a whole series of "stupid white man" commercials (like someone bringing duck to a tailgate party at a University of Oregon game, or someone not knowing the expression "Roll Tide").

Most insurance ads are so offensive that they make me determined never to buy from them. Liberty doesn't own the Statue of Liberty. I always switch channels if a Progressive Insurance ad comes on.
