Democrats Are Taking Their Anger Out on Chuck Schumer

Senate minority leader’s handling of the recent government funding bill has divided his party and prompted calls for him to step aside.

When Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet held a town hall in Golden, Colo., on Wednesday, he expected to hear from people enraged by what’s happening in Washington. But the name on his angry constituents’ lips wasn’t necessarily Donald Trump. For some, it was the head of the Senate Democrats, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York.

A man who identified himself as Colin from Denver asked Bennet to consider the “dire times” facing the nation. “Schumer had no plan in the Democrats’ only moment of leverage against Trump,” he said. “When will you be calling for him to be replaced as minority leader?”

Far from rising in Schumer’s defense, Bennet, standing on a red-curtained auditorium stage in jeans and a gray jacket, seemed to echo the constituent’s concern. “It’s important for people to know, you know, when it’s time to go,” he said, comparing the situation to President Joe Biden’s belated withdrawal from last year’s presidential campaign. “We’re going to have conversations, I’m sure, in the near future, about all the Democratic leaders.”

The exchange vividly illustrated the blowback Schumer has taken over his decision to supply Democratic votes to keep the government open a week ago, and the damage it has done to his standing with his fellow Democrats. House and Senate members have publicly criticized Schumer’s handling of the matter in a remarkable public show of disunity at a time when they hoped to be unified against Trump.

Bennet wasn’t the only Democratic officeholder to take flak from voters over Schumer’s actions during the past week’s congressional recess. Across the country at events Democrats had planned to use to turn up the heat on Trump

It’s a lover’s spat. What the Dems really want is to eliminate the likes of me.

Dysfunctional people look around for someone to blame and it’s never themselves. I’m sure any rational person, meaning someone who isn’t a Democrat, could come up with a quick dozen reasons why the party is disintegrating. My list would probably start with Trans. But it might go back to gay marriage. It might go back to Jimmy Carter or possibly start with the great uniter Obama who did more to destroy race relations than anything that happened fifty years ago. Gosh, what target rich environment.

Things are moving to slow for the communists they want and need more power to stop Trump at every move because he’s slowing down their final move to complete the agenda.

I don’t believe all this bs for a second.

It smacks of a plan, which began by trapping POTUS into supporting the CR. A ruse.

And they continue the theater by playing this up as a dem civil war when it’s clear that they’re sacrificing the old guard, trying to facilitate ascension of the more radical left pursuant to both midterms and ‘28, which is why they keep attempting to thrust miss fart into the field.

Despite hefty (still hidden) $$ reserves, they want their purse strings restored at all costs; I hope DJT & Musk’s security are on their top game.
