Heard the Piggie Platoon reference from a person who is an aunt of someone who I think was an AF Captain at that time. I think he retired Colonel.
When I heard it, I thought it was insensitive.
I asked my AF veteran husband, and he said they didn’t have many overweight people in basic training when he enlisted. But he did say that overweight people had it harder in basic.
