It may be necessary because you have to assume they're Labour Party Activists trying to make Reform look bad.

They may be working clandestinely for MI6.

The BBC/Labour alliance is tough to overcome. No 1st amendment. Then you have the Tories who would rather see Labour in control than Reform. No doubt they are at work too.
