I guess you are correct.
the USA paid a shiite load of money to teach me how to service military aircraft.
Boeing hired me, I guess they got all that
Military aircraft experience for “Free”.
I got out of the military as quick as I could.
But I will say this, they train people.
Civilians beg people.
Who would you rather have in an aircraft situation,
ex military or a community college affirmative action student?
As for ex military versus a community college affirmative action student, it doesn't matter who I'd rather have - the military can't attract enough talent and the airline industry has made their decision; they're going with the underqualified DEI hire.
We've had a negative birthrate since the early 1970s and the powers-to-be have determined they'll go with underqualified DEI hires instead of drastically scaling back the number of flights.
It's not just the airline industry, it's most industries, and the their solution of importing swarthy replacement Americans is outright dangerous. We're living in an Age of Regression, where within people's lifetimes, they can visit ruins of actual cities they previously lived in, and regression from progress mankind has made since previous generations.
