nope ... most of the world’s top chefs are male ... and line cooking in a top restaurant [a real one, not a chain that microwaves frozen meals] is VERY hard work and is mostly male ... so is waiting tables, whether male or female ...
i love to cook too and fortunately have the time now that i’m retired ... given the poor quality, high price and sketchyness of many line cooks, i avoid eating out, so loving to cook is very fortunate ...
I’m also retired but my wife still works, so I became the chief cook and I kind of like it. Nothing like a home cooked meal done well. I especially get a kick out of going in my garden, get whatever veggies I need and go to a local butcher and make something awesome. It’s not really something I would consider masculine or feminem. I learned to cook from my mother, but my friend and neighbor learned from his father.
