Another Freeper and I went to the protest in Florida from D.C. when all this went down. We coincidentally were staying as the same hotel as her parents and brother. We had dinner with the parents, who were stoic and not overly optimistic, though they remained hopeful. They were lovely people, even under the circumstances. They said they greatly appreciated all the support they were getting. Still upsets me no end.
