I have a nice rosemary plant and used small twigs of it as a sherb in cooking no problem..The plant/bush got very large I cut it back and hand carried trimmings to trash..I had a serious allergy attack from head to toe red welts..my throat closed up could not eat solid food...could not sleep constant coughing up mucus..my regular doc on vacation so i toughed it out with otc medication i was miserble lost 9 pounds trouble breathing..finally got over it in about 4 weeks...replacement doc said they didnt do allergy tests for rosemary which i dont believe...anyway just strange not allergic to herb in food but contact allergy was unreal and bad...

Wow, that’s crazy! Yeah, they can get big and ugly. I used to replace them every 4-5 years, but never had any issues like that.

Wonder if there was a sprig of something else growing in the rosemary bush. Maybe poison ivy.

Mother has a big rosemary bush I gather from and for years have said I need to start some at our house.
