Don’t know about Klaus Schwab, but some whackadoo academic in the UK was firing this up a couple years ago — how home gardens were bigger CO2 polluters per pound of produce, etc. It’s not hard to find those wacky Brits seriously kicking this around. Here’s a random article:

Interesting how they focus on veggie gardens when in my experience, flower gardens and lawns are far worse offenders in the fertilizer and pesticide use department.
And take a look at your classic English cottage. And they're focusing on veggies?????
