Yes. Tesla said this would be possible and he did a bunch of research trying to invent a mechanism for doing so. He did not succeed obviously.

I'm not saying I believe it, but over the years I've heard a lot of conspiracy theories that he was able to successfully do it, but either Edison, GE, or some government(s0 suppressed it.

I am not Serbian, or Slavic at all, but I don't understand why people in the U.S. hates Serbians so much.
