Written by the French composers André Popp and Pierre Cour, Love is Blue was originally Luxembourg's entry in the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest. In 1968, French orchestral leader Paul Mauriat's instrumental version went to #1 in the US.

Beautiful song, I have loved it thru the years. It’s timeless…
What a great time for music it was. That music crossed age barriers. It was decent,, with great melodies.
You’re right! I didn’t get the lyrics, but the music was great!
Who can forget those awe inspiring lyrics?:
Gliddy glub gloopy, nibby nabby noopy la, la, la, lo, lo
Sabba sibby sabba, nooby abba nabba, le, le, lo, lo
Tooby ooby walla, nooby abba naba
Early mornin' singin' song
LOL!
“Good Morning, Starshine” was from the rock musical Hair.”
Also, the flute duo on Jenifer, Juniper, by Donovan.
That flute part was played by Jenny Boyd, sister of Pattie.

I had no idea !
An oldie but very, very goodie. Memories!
Which one? And there were several others. Wow-- so popular!
Ack. Thank you. I always do that because I remember first hearing the song and seeing “The Man Called Horse” not too far apart as a kid.
Ack again. Richard Harris. I try to not look things up.
Oh well. Harris did both the movie and song.
Rex Harrison is the other Brit. Doctor Doolittle, My Fair Lady?
