Tariffs are like chemo therapy for an economy ravaged by destructive "free trade" and globalism.

You cry about the bad side effects of the therapy and say why bother when in fact and in this case there is a 100% chance of a cure, tariffs have always has worked in the past.

Did you know Karl Marx gave a "Speech to the Democratic Association of Brussels" at its public meeting of January 9, 1848. He concluded:

"But, in general, the protective system of our day is conservative, while the free trade system is destructive. It breaks up old nationalities and pushes the antagonism of the proletariat and the bourgeoisie to the extreme point. In a word, the free trade system hastens the social revolution. It is in this revolutionary sense alone, gentlemen, that I vote in favor of free trade."

I am not saying you are Marxist but you sound like one...
