“This was a TRO.”

The first TRO expired. I can’t find any kind of info on the web as to whether this is an injunction. I think it is and Trump and appeal.

The Supreme Court decision was over a TRO. I don’t think the injunction hearing has occurred yet.

How many divisions does Judge Amir Ali have?

The Fox commentator is wrong: it's not judicial "activism."

It's judicial tyranny when an unelected judge usurps the authority of the elected President.

Maiden v. Marbury states that an action of a president by an EO can be halted by a Federal judge.

It does NOT SAY A PRESIDENT CAN BE COMPELLED TO ACT.

Correct answer—make it a counterfeit dollar with FAFO on the back of the bill.

Trump will happily pay some fraction of the payment and it will be worth every penny when the truth about the fraud and abuse in the 2 billion in contracts contracts comes out and the American people are further enraged at the Washington shuck and jive.

Nice set up for a couple hundred million dollar partial payment followed by a huge media scandal and legal food fight as the Trump DOJ fights a very public battle to claw back the obviously fraudulent funds.

The two biggest losers may end up being Justices Roberts and Comey-Barrett as the consequences of their highly politicized decision becomes public and their too clever by a half ruling blows up in their faces.

Something weird is going on with those two and they really compromised themselves with that ruling that I suspect is not going to age well for them .

We may see some interesting revelations come out about those two in the future. There may be a open slot in the court in the near future which could put an end to the Roberts/ Comey Barrett axis

As ClearCase_guy insightfully posted: we, the people, are “reassured,” that not only are Biden’s actions “presumed valid,” but it would be a “violation of the sanctity of the executive branch” to investigate, because his pardons are fully within the president’s official duties.

It’s kind of funny how this seems to work.
<><>we have a Democrat president diagnosed with dementia so his tax paid unelected staff do whatever they want, with no legal authority; it’s all valid, because it’s within demented Biden’s “official duties.”

<><>there’s a Republican president, winning big in a national election, fully in possession of his faculties, carrying out the will of the voters, but a judge gets to call the shots, gets to decide what is “permissible” within Trump’s Executive Branch. And so does the Supreme Court.

Shakeup Congress on social media.

Attach news clips, other relevant documents, links.

Message: We demand the DOJ investigate whether President Biden’s cognitive decline allowed unelected staff to push through radical policy without his knowing approval and that of voters. Biden’s executive orders, pardons, and all other actions should be declared patently unconstitutional and legally voided at once.

When President Trump builds an office tower, he has to see that obstacles are bulldozed out of the way. Sometimes it is necessary to destroy things in order to build.

Muslim Judge "Amir" needs the same treatment from Trump the Developer. And just as in construction, "accidents do happen".

The first TRO expired. Is this an injunction or a TRO? It is not clear anywhere. What is Trump’s response? Injunctions are appealable.

https://rollcall.com/2025/02/14/judge-orders-temporary-end-to-freeze-on-foreign-aid-spending/

Judge Amir Ali of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued the preliminary injunction Thursday, ordering a temporary end to the freeze on foreign assistance spending agreements that were in existence before Jan. 20 at the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

So, the court entered its injunction the day after the supreme court ruled on the TRO. The judge clearly set this latest deadline to play beat the clock, before Trump has time to appeal it.

separation of powers
president as primary foreign relations authority
national defense arguments, too

the judge has zero authority and either knows it (and should be removed from the bench for misuse of legal authority) or else doesn’t know it (and should be removed from the bench for incompetence)
