I love the food there, but if I was going to stay longer term I would carefully check air quality in different areas.
I just read that thailand has a burning season in feb/march where the air gets much worse
I’ve been watching YouTube beach webcams situated on the islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan: shouldn’t be much of an AQ problem there. Koh Samui even has a McDonalds! (I realize I am in a minority considering that a plus).
Good insight. The plan for the burning season is to travel to other places for those months. Other parts of south east Asia are very cheap to go to. Da Nang for around $125 dollars round trip, Sri Lanka for $400-$500 round trip. Or somewhere in Europe for around $800 round trip.
