Friend lived in Boston & a couple years ago had a lot of snow so people were digging out parking spots across from their houses & then blocking them off. Mayor said they couldn’t do that so people taking advantage of the “free” clearing, ended up with their cars buried in snow or covered in ice.
The joys of city living.
Lol.
A lack of a government that will enforce the law equally, people can turn violent over stuff like this.
“Google Street View images show that the white cones have been a mainstay in front of the property for several years.
Neighbors have submitted numerous 311 complaints over the years, but to little avail.”
HAHAHA. I have family in Palo Alto. While driving down El Camino Real there are miles and miles of RVs on the side of the road. It is especially enjoyable seeing them clog up the street outside of Stanford University.
Renters, pffht. You have to be homeless/foreign/deviant to have any power with rich liberals. Renters are working class and middle class, ignored and hated by liberals now.

The second time he parked there after getting his car keyed he should’ve had a hidden camera in his car to catch the criminal. I’d then hire some Oakland kids to graffiti the shit out of the perp’s home.

On street parking is first come first served. It’s a bummer when you are the first person on the block to shovel out and drive somewhere but that’s life. The person who parked in the spot you cleared also obviously had gotten his car out as well, and the spot he had worked hard to clear was probably taken by someone else.
The best solution is to leave your car as is and take alternative transportation. Of course, that requires living in a neighborhood actually having options. And the city clearing the main streets enough that the busses run.
Or move to the sunbelt.
