Friend lived in Boston & a couple years ago had a lot of snow so people were digging out parking spots across from their houses & then blocking them off. Mayor said they couldn’t do that so people taking advantage of the “free” clearing, ended up with their cars buried in snow or covered in ice.

Who wants to live in a city where your mansion depends on on-street parking? Of course, a $17 million mansion in SF might be 1200 square feet and have all its windows intact.

I remember a few years back seeing a story about a guy who shoveled a parking spot in front of his house and his neighbor across the street promptly parked there. The guy that did the shoveling got his gun and killed the neighbor.

A lack of a government that will enforce the law equally, people can turn violent over stuff like this.

“Google Street View images show that the white cones have been a mainstay in front of the property for several years.
Neighbors have submitted numerous 311 complaints over the years, but to little avail.”

Billionaires in San Francisco are liberal elites - and renters are angry progressive ‘class struggle’ jerks. Let them fight it out.

We don’t have a dog in this fight.

I lived in an apartment for many years. On really bad snowfall, I spent an hour and a half digging out my car in order to go to work. When I got home, somebody had parked in my spot which was on the side of my apartment building.

Since I was probably the only person in the complex who had a shovel, I don't know how the owner of that car was able to dig himself out when I got finished replacing all the snow I had removed.

I hadn’t heard that but the friend said people were hooking up hoses & freezing cars solid. Where they lived, they had a single driveway and not much real estate between neighbors so getting their drive plus the street clear was a challenge and took a lot of labor.

HAHAHA. I have family in Palo Alto. While driving down El Camino Real there are miles and miles of RVs on the side of the road. It is especially enjoyable seeing them clog up the street outside of Stanford University.

Renters, pffht. You have to be homeless/foreign/deviant to have any power with rich liberals. Renters are working class and middle class, ignored and hated by liberals now.

LOL!! Should have offered to rent the shovel for $200. Didn’t you put a chair or cones out? That’s what my friend did & no one bothered their spot.

The stunning Gothic revival house has 9280 sq ft . And you can see the infamous cones on the street view

The second time he parked there after getting his car keyed he should’ve had a hidden camera in his car to catch the criminal. I’d then hire some Oakland kids to graffiti the shit out of the perp’s home.

Just before I left Boston in 1983, I was parked in Roslindale across the street from my friend when we got about 20 inches of snow. I got up early, before the plows, dug my car out with a perfect, I mean Donald Trump perfect, shoveling job. But it was near the cross street, and after I left, the plow partially plowed it back in. Someone else apparently re-shoveled it an thought they owned it. I parked there afterwards and the antenna was broken.
