Dolly Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, dead at 82

Carl Dean, Dolly Parton's husband, died Monday, March 3, according to the country star. He was 82.

"Carl and I spent many wonderful years together," the "Jolene" singer wrote on social media.

"Words can't do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy."

He was also her business manager. Dolly Parton owed more real estate then most people know. Her rental property income itself is massive, and he managed all of that.

I’ve been thinking lately that that is one of our societies major problems. What you said is how it’s supposed to be. People aren’t supposed to stay single into their 20s or 30s, have sex and even kids with God knows how many people, and then move on. It just doesn’t work.
