I had measles as a kid. Does that mean that I cannot get it at again age 60?

Yes, we all old farts survived it. And, even according to Government experts?!?!? we cannot get it again.

There is great historical track record on measles.
Measles used to be the most common child disease. At that time, everybody got it (they are the most contagious disease known to men) and nobody ever got it again!

What they are worried, is that the early vaccines did not work too well (do we know that with other vaccines!), so those people are asked to re-vaccinate.

As for the death - for what I deduct, people of European descent are pretty safe, as measles lingered there for a long while.
People who die from measles are mostly of Hawaii and American native descent who never encountered measles before encounter with the Europeans.
Measles were huge killer in Hawaii after James Cook visited it!
