Good point. There was talk of turning it into a floating hotel, using period furniture and decor. That would have been awesome.

I was following this because I saw the ship often driving by it on I-95. The wharf owner tried to get ownership of the ship from the conservancy but failed. They preferred to sink the ship rather than let another group take it over. All it needed was its own wharf, and eventually it could have been conserved. All the conservancy was doing was paying itself a salary and then paying the rent for the wharf, until they stopped doing the later and wound up in court. It's a tragedy. Only SCUBA divers will get to see it now.
