I’m not gonna take it. Its better to take things to strengthen your immune system so that this and other “opportunistic” things don’t take advantage of a weaker immune system.
I am very allergic to the shingles vaccine. I cannot take it. Had a very severe negative reaction to the first of the two shots. Love the way my doctor said, “Don’t take the second shot.” Really? I figured that out for myself after the pharmacist at the drug store where I took the shot had to give me Benedryl, as my throat was closing up.
I’m an anti-vaxer and so is my MD.
He prescribes 1 pharmaceutical pill for me and 12 nutritional supplements. We both believe in prevention. In fact, I wrote for a magazine called “Prevention” decades ago did a ton of research. One immune system strengthener is Vitamin C. I’m very small, so take only 500 mg per day. My big, overweight make friend takes three times that much..
My husband and I actually got the vax. I was working in a clinic at the time and was encouraged to do it. It didn’t affect us adversely, so I guess it was okay, but the Covid vax has made me leery of most vaccines now.
My better half and I refuse vaccines. He has heart problems and is doing just fine with basic meds, healthy diet and exercise. I have joint pain, put doing well taking Omega XL. We are both in our 70’s. The best medicine is interacting with two grand daughters…5 and 7 yrs old. That keeps you on your game! I think our immune system is doing great from being around youngsters that bring home every cold, flu and stomach virus from school.
You can believe that about Shingles but it isn’t a one and done situation, you can get it repeatedly. The Shingles vaccine is safe, I had it, took without a qualm after watching my wife and elderly mother go through it.
