I think the article, and others like it in the Irish Times, may bear the fingerprints of Hillary Clinton's legacy. I recall hearing about her travels to Ireland and the reason(s) given often had to do with a Christian orphanage. She was photographed in the doorway with her hands on the shoulders of a young child. (shudder) One hates to think of the 'opportunities' for her in Ireland.
I know Ireland was flooded with aggressive illegals long ago. About 4 years after I toured part of Ireland and met kindness and warmth everywhere, I met an Irish nurse in San Francisco whose comments helped me understand that the country had changed dramatically since I was there. She had the delightful lilting accent as she said it had changed and when questioned, simply said 'diversity'. She said it just wasn't Ireland anymore.
It's been many years, and the fortunes of Ireland are sometimes in the news, including the pics of Hillary.
But, some of the Irish Times articles I read today have such intense hatred for President Trump I just dont' believe it arose organically. I see TDS all the time, but Ireland's is advanced compared to our media. Well but the populace is possibly no longer very Irish. Hillary and Co. scored another nation.
