All very well stated and on spot. It is well to remember that Britain went broke trying to maintain a global colonial empire - France the same - and since that failure, plundering American wealth has been their strategy.

Yes, we have often been willing partners. We instituted the Marshall Plan post WWII. We adopted an attitude of 'let the nations take some advantage in order to rebuild a world economy.' But that was seventy years ago... now the nations have come to expect that we owe them.

Many in Washington have defended this Wonderland - presumably for various reasons. Now we are $36+ trillion in debt and reality is starting to crush us. Our 'friends' will not help us - they have helped to kill the goose that laid the golden eggs.

Trumps speech tonight will be EPIC. For starters it is being called an Address to a Joint Session of Congress, NOT the State of the Union Address. I find that curious.
It is always called the State of the Union. And I have seen some presidents criticized for bringing world events into the speech, journalists saying this is supposed to be about the state of the union.
Well I think that is why it is being called a joint address to Congress. I hope Trump lays everything out and talks about the global efforts to undermine our union. Bondi had the evidence now and they have been going through it. Would love for this to be the time for Trump to name names.
Fact is the state of the union is in peril.
