To counter your friend’s posts with reason rather than emotion, you could point to this broader context: the changes reflect a policy shift against DEI, not a personal vendetta against Black or Hispanic legacies. Articles like NPR’s March 7, 2025, piece on the Pentagon’s DEI purge highlight the scale (26,000 images flagged) and the confusion (e.g., historical milestones caught in the net), undermining claims of a precise racial targeting. The Washington Post’s February 12, 2025, opinion piece also notes that the military’s diversity efforts historically bolstered readiness, not division, offering a factual counter-narrative to the "heartless" charge. Hegseth’s own statements—like his January 2025 defense of the Tuskegee Airmen—show he’s not opposed to all minority stories, just those framed through a DEI lens.

As for your friend’s motives, her persistence could reflect ideological leanings, emotional attachment to these stories, or simply a reaction to the same polarized media you suspect drives her. Her international teaching and coy CIA response don’t prove she’s a "leftist" or operative—those are leaps without evidence—but they might hint at a worldview shaped by diverse experiences. Rather than escalating with accusations, a practical approach might be sharing a concise, sourced rebuttal (e.g., the NPR article) and asking her to clarify what specific intent she attributes to Trump and Hegseth beyond the headlines. If she doubles down, it’s less about facts and more about belief—at that point, reason may not sway her, but you’ll have a solid stance grounded in what’s known.

In short: The DoD website is changing, driven by an anti-DEI agenda, not a proven racial purge. Stories of Black and Hispanic military figures have been affected, but the policy’s scope and sloppy rollout suggest broader ideology over targeted malice. Use that distinction to challenge the narrative without feeding the emotional fire.

Great stuff. But truth is neither Pete or the President need to do an apology tour of any type since Pete does the work of 10 people and the President does the work of 100 people. Both men work their asses off and deserve nothing but praise,IMHO.

Here they are:

These guys are serious about saving the country from the last four years of commie rule.

Here's the latest in our quest for peace through strength:

It's the F47(note the "47",likely not coincidence) and no one in this world has anything like it!
