thinden asks:"Has anyone cross indexed these 3.2 mm dead social security number holders to nationwide voter registration registers.....yet?"
Yes, some efforts have cross-indexed deceased Social Security number (SSN) holders with voter rolls. The Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), covering over 30 states, uses the SSA’s Death Master File to flag deceased voters, identifying millions of outdated records. No comprehensive nationwide cross-index of all 3.2 million annual deaths exists due to decentralized election systems and privacy laws. Partial efforts, like ERIC, are the closest, but coverage isn’t universal as of March 18, 2025.
