'note: Washington State appears to be using it's DOJ Press Releases to try the Trump administration in the court of public opinion. Many of the titles and text excerpts portray the Trump Administration's actions as illegal and unconstitutional.
Some of these statements are not phrased as contentions or accusations, but as statements of illegal, unconstitutional actions by Trump or his administration
Some citizens reading press releases on Washington's DOJ website must get the impression that a tyrant has gone wild in D.C. I put some examples of phrases from 'press release' titles below.
" damaging and illegal efforts to fire federal employees en masse."
"lawsuit over illegal federal employee firings"
"Trump’s illegal order"
"unconstitutional Trump order targeting "
"lawsuit to stop Elon Musk’s unconstitutional power grab"
'note: ; Isn't it for the courts to decide these actions are illegal or unconstitutional? I noted around 13 states band together on some of these; I'm guessing they are the 'busiest' coalition of State DOJ's weaponized and targeting the Trump Administration.STATES: California, Illinois, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont, and Washington.
The public opinion campaign in the WA DOJ office began January 20, with a statement that they had been preparing for the event (inauguration) 1 year in advance (e.g., they studied Project 2025 etc.)
Attorney General statement on Trump’s first-day executive orders January 20, 2025
Excerpt:
"SEATTLE — Attorney General Nick Brown released the following statement today in response to executive actions by the White House that could harm Washingtonians:“President Trump today signed a host of gravely concerning executive orders that pose significant harm to thousands of Washingtonians. My staff and I are thoroughly assessing these directives on their legal and constitutional merits.

“The Attorney General’s Office has spent the last year preparing for this day. Our team has worked closely with colleagues in other states, studied Project 2025 and other documents, and researched case law in order to act swiftly. We are prepared and committed to using the full power of the Attorney General’s Office to enforce Washington’s laws, to protect people’s rights, and to keep Washingtonians safe. We will uphold the law and we will fight when called upon for our shared values.

Some examples, such as the president’s attack on birthright citizenship, are not only unconstitutional on their face, but simply un-American."
'note: They make it sound like an enemy has overthrown the Capitol and the WA DOJ will do it's best to 'restrain' Trump from hurting the public.
Most of the press releases (20 out of 25) from Washington's DOJ target the Trump administration, starting on January 20. This is unique - I normally scan several states DOJ press releases to see what their DOJ's are doing, it's usual drug/sexual abuse/fraud arrests and prosecution. Here are some examples from page 1 of WA's DOJ Press Releases.
