President Trump and his top advisers huddled in the Oval Office after the on-camera shouting match with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday before Trump came to a decision: Zelensky had to go.
Behind the scenes: The delegation from Kyiv waited in another room for about an hour, still hoping to sign the minerals deal that prompted Zelensky's trip and to salvage the visit. Trump and Zelensky were still scheduled to have lunch and hold a joint press conference.
Then Secretary of State Marco Rubio and national security adviser Mike Waltz "went out of the Oval Office, walked to where Zelensky was sitting, and told him to leave," a senior White House official tells Axios.

The White House official insisted the explosion in the meeting was not a pre-meditated ambush. "Our plan was to sign the minerals deal and get into this economic partnership and move towards peace."

One small but not insignificant factor that irritated Trump was the fact Zelensky didn't wear a suit, two sources with direct knowledge told Axios.
Trump's advisers told Zelensky's team on multiple occasions that it would be more respectful for Zelensky to ditch his military-style attire when visiting the White House.

Good grief this guy is an imbecile

I love that they sent Marco Rubio to be the hatchet man.
Marco Rubio has been good so far when I hear him speak. He is serving the US well.
There is no free lunch.
TANSTAAFL!
Even the ones on Russian territory aren’t all that commercially viable other than the one in the Zaporizhzhia area that can actually produce scandium. No way that, even taking into account what’s in the Russian areas, these mineral deposits would have produced between $500 billion and $1 trillion worth of profits.
President Trump knew this. He remarked after Munich that “Who knows how much they’re worth? Maybe they’re not worth anything.”

Oops, somehow the first part of my last post to you disappeared somehow (I must have goofed).
I agreed with you that it would take billions (as well as generations) to unearth those deposits. Meaning they are not commercially viable. In other words, we agree.
Precisely. See the last link in my post here:

This expert totally agrees with you.
apparently after having diarrhea of mouth he was full and didn’t want a plate full of shit
Even Putin, who speaks English much more fluently than Zelinski does, would never have attended such a meeting with a U.S. President without speaking in Russian and using an interpreter.
Hey bro. Noticed you’ve been coming around. I remember you saying “There is a time for war and there is a time for peace.”
I agree. Zelensky doesn’t seem to see that. He came to the White House with an attitude of entitlement and a desire to renegotiate everything. Not smart to come to your benefactor with demands and implied threats.
It would have gone better if Z had worn a suit.
The suit is the least of it.
It's the attitude of entitlement.
When the boss man asks you to wear a suit, you wear a suit.
OK, I’ll accept that it is just another sign of disrespect... but why would Z come with an attitude of disrespect???
Counterproductive as hell.
Z should have humbled himself and walked out with the signed deal and press conference. The time to argue who’s right and who’s wrong has passed.
If you watch the entire press conference, it’s quite illuminating!
Zelensky starts out looking very combative (and kinda hopped up) before a word is spoken. Trump starts out being very complimentary and diplomatic and positive, which calms Zelensky down somewhat.
Then watch as Trump manages Zelensky. Those who say Trump has no empathy or patience are wrong. You can watch him read Zelensky’s body language (this guy should never play poker) and expertly defuse. You can also watch how Trump and Vance silently communicate, and how attentive Vance is to Trump’s body language, so that he knows the exact moments Trump wants Vance to step in (and out).
Video of entire press conference:

At the very end, you can see Vance turn to look into the cameras as if to say “and there we have it, ladies and gentlemen, for all the world to see.”
Castro wore a decent uniform. Not cargo pants and a sweatshirt. (Looks like Z had a hoodie on at some point. Dressed like a gangsta / rapper. Even Arafat dressed better on his CIA expense account.
