Puerto Ricans should learn English.
“I know it’s not your fault. But you don’t have tenure yet, and I’ve got to fire somebody.”
Picking the right people to fire is hard.
Picking the easy people to fire is easy.
YAY!!!
English is also the international language of business.
You can go anywhere in the world, and mostly likely all the signs will at least have English displayed along with the native language.
25 years of direct observation of schools, it’s both. Everyone pops out of the same mold. I’ve had about 6-7 Superintendents. They all promise a “culture change”, nope. All spend to much, all need there office redone, they all hire there buddies and pay them high salaries, while test scores fall because they focus on the wrong things. There is hardly no learning, it’s all teaching the test

How about another one to end DST?
I was watching a video on air traffic controllers yesterday. During the video otvwas mentioned that the official language for ATCs world wide is English......this should have been done LONG ago.
Infuriating that Spanish text is on the ballot and just as big as English.
Does this mean I won’t have to press 1 to speak english anymore?
One of the interesting things about the invasion of refugees in Europe, is that many of them speak English and not the native language. That may ultimately result in English being adopted as an official language of countries, like Sweden, because the refugees aren’t going to bother learning a language that has little use outside of the country.
No more “Press 1 for English?” and get someone who can barely speak it?
The last time my Hungarian-born aunt went back to visit her hometown in Hungary, she was a little disappointed about one thing.
She wanted to practice her Hungarian with them. But everyone there wanted to practice their English with her!
I had the same experience in Poland.
Press 1 for Indian. Press 2 for Spanish.
Still waiting for the him to sign one repealing Daylight Savings Time..........
Excellent. Muttley time.
You do realize that India has about 1,000 languages, so English is the only common language most Indians know.
If it wasn’t for the British Empire, India would have really been screwed.
80/20 favorability
