Okay now this is ODD because authorities said the DOOR WAS AJAR when they rolled up.

The house is around 8,000 sq. ft. according to one article. The maintenance men & police may not be referring to the same door.

Could be the particular door the caller was at was not the door found open. That's a big house and could have a lot of doors.
