What puzzles me is only one dog dead. If it were carbon monoxide poisoning the other dog inside would be dead also. The instinct of a dog is to lay down beside their master if he is distress. That dog would have died with his master in the kill zone of the Carbon Monoxide poisoning. I am not suggesting foul play but it is strange.

Hackman was one of the greatest actors of recent times. He had skill.
