What joke.

Where’s the Eagles?

They have the most number 1 hits only 2nd to the Beatles.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers have more hits than Pink Floyd even.

Eagles began as a SoCal Country-Rock...but Poco was much, MUCH better.

Eagles changed to a tight bar band (like CCR) playing the same music while lacking in creativity or expanding their repertoire.

Eagles is one of the most overhyped bands in history...

Joe Walsh when young practiced the song “And Your Bird Can Sing” for weeks until he mastered it. Years later he met Ringo and told him that story, Ringo told him it was actually two guitars playing the riffs.

I asked myself the same thing. The Eagles were pretty mellow, though. So were the Beatles (most of the time), but they are still going to win any fan poll.

Longevity also counts for a lot on a list like this. A band that came along in the 90s won't make the list. Neither would The Doors, whose time with Jim Morrison barely outlasted the 60s.

Should The Who be on the list? I don't like them, but their music is very well known and sold well.
